Location

Situated in the heart of the Broads, it is an ideal base for a quiet break away. We are close to the river for fishing, surrounded by fields it gives an ideal opportunity for dog walking or a gentle stroll.

Local amenities within walking distance are the local Post office and shop, a cosy little pub and near the river is an up beat pub.

Half a mile walk away is the famous Lathams store, tearooms and pub. The local fish and chip shop is just over the river.

Here you can sit and watch the birdlife, do a spot of fishing, take a gentle stroll along the riverbank or just sit and watch holiday makers navigate the medieval Potter Heigham bridge, which is the Gateway to the Broads. There are various local shoots in the area for the discerning Wildfowler!

Littleholme B and B is situated near the A149, on Station Rd. To the left of the property is an open field, to the right is a large house. There are normally up to two Morris Minors in the driveway as well as a modern car!
Station Rd traverses the A149. If you are travelling from Wroxham or Cromer along the A149, our part of Station Rd is on the right. If you are travelling from Gt Yarmouth or Norwich, via Acle, then we are on the left, past the ambulance station. We are the very first bungalow. The signpost at the top of our road directs you to Horning and Ludham on the A1062

A few  miles in any direction of leaving the B and B, there are other small villages worth looking at. Within walking distance is the famous Hickling Broad Nature Reserve, where you can see the Swallowtail butterfly and the blue Damsel flies. Martham is another riverside village, and those energetic enough to walk there along the riverbank will find a decent pub and little cafe in the heart of the village. It takes about an hour to walk. In the opposite direction is Catfield, also in walking distance of an hour, with a decent pub. For those who wish to go further afield there is Stalham 5 miles away, then onto Wroxham, which is 10 miles away. Another 5 miles from Wroxham and you arrive at Norwich. In the opposite direction of leaving the B and B are the seaside villages of Winterton on Sea, 6 miles away, and then onto Hemsby, and then 6 miles from there you arrive at Gt Yarmouth.
